Wisconsin`s monthly lease agreement is an agreement between a tenant and a landlord that allows a tenant to rent a property from month to month rather than being tied to a longer-term lease. As long as the rent is paid on time, the tenant can sublet the premises for as long as the landlord allows. In accordance with § 704.19, if one of the parties decides to terminate the lease, it may do so by a notice period of 28 days. A period of at least 28 days must be granted by both parties. Required notice period (§ 704.19(3)): Each party must give twenty-eight (28) days` written notice to formally terminate the Agreement. If the rental period is less than 28 days (e.B a weekday rental), the contract may be terminated for as long as the other party is granted a notice period of an amount of the rental period.
